- AISI 304 is usually 0.4 or 0.5 mm thickness
- AISI 316 is always 0.5 and 0.6 mm
- 254 SMO (high alloy) typically 0.6 mm
- Titanium plates are always 0.5 and 0.6 mm
- Some have thicker plates (for high pressure applications)
- Some PHEs have 0.4 mm (low pressure operation)
- Hastelloy C-276 (nickel alloy) typically 0.6 mm
Production Process:

Raw material preparation: Careful selection of premium-grade stainless steel plates is undertaken for their exceptional corrosion resistance and thermal conductivity. Plate thickness is meticulously determined to align with product specifications and design parameters.

Cutting and leveling: Utilizing advanced machine tools, stainless steel plates are accurately cut to meet design specifications. Subsequently, a leveling treatment is administered to achieve a uniform and smooth surface.

Stamping: Hydraulic press stamping is employed on leveled plates to create specific herringbone patterns, enhancing turbulence coefficient for efficient heat transfer. Stringent control measures are implemented to prevent plate deformation or damage during the stamping process.

Surface treatment: Various surface treatment techniques such as polishing, sandblasting, or coating are applied to the plates to enhance corrosion resistance and heat transfer performance, selected based on specific requirements.

Assembly and inspection: Plates are meticulously assembled according to design specifications, resulting in the formation of either a detachable plate heat exchanger with rubber gasket seals or a fully welded plate heat exchanger using argon arc welding.
